I think one of the hardest things I've had to do since starting back writing, is make time to write. Whether I am procrastinating or being dedicated to taking care of my family, I have finally decided that making time to write is important to me.
My best time to write is in the wee hours of the night when everyone is asleep. The peace is phenominal and my thoughts are clear and precise. Except, when I start getting sleepy about five a.m. Then the problem of keeping focus becomes an issue. Instead of going to bed and rest, I become stubborn and dig in, and actually it's not too bad of a thing because I get to finish up something I may have started, whether it's a paragraph or two.
Another thing that I have found that helps with making time, I joined several forums or groups, which ever word you prefer, and being apart of them helps get me motivated. If I say I am going to do something thing, then I feel obligated to follow through and this has helped me keep deadlines for writing.
Scheduling pays off, if you are a writer, or want to be writer, make a schedule, make time to write.
I do !
